The Rev. Charles L. Hagy, 51, of Frederick, died Friday, July 31, at the University of Maryland Hospital, Baltimore.
Rev. Hagy was born May 1, 1930, in Virginia, a son of the late Laura and Floyd Hagy.
Rev. Hagy served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and also was a landscape gardener.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Vanhoozer Hagy; two sons, Robert L. Hagy, Delaware, and Ricky L. Hagy, Frederick; five sisters, Ida Puckett, Nancy Grass, Carrie Wingo, Pearl Puckett, and Mabel Thompson, an of Virginia; three brothers, Garland Hagy, Al Hagy, and Ralph Hagy, an of Virginia; and one granddaughter.
Friends may visit from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, at the Francis H. Barber Funeral Home, Laytonsville. Funeral services will he held at 11 a.m. Monday. Aug. 3, at the Church of God of Prophecy, Travilah Road, Rockville, where friends may visit at the church from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the funeral. The Rev. David Risen will officiate. Interment will be in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.
