Black, Jessie Edington – age 94, of Knoxville passed away peacefully Sunday, January 22, 2012. Born to the late John S. and Martha Ann Scott Edington August 11, 1917, in Powell. Jessie would say, "I lived a simple life", her family would say it was a life filled with Love, Faith, Wit, and Wisdom. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. Jessie was of the United Methodist faith, considering Mt. Herman her home church while often worshiping elsewhere. She was preceded in death by her husband Horace N. Black; and her brothers and sisters. Jessie is survived by her daughter, Madonna Ann and husband Mike Bachman; granddaughter, Amy Bachman Cliett and husband Jacob; grandson, Eric Bachman and Fiancé Amber Moore; great grandson, Dylan Cliett. Family and friends will gather 2:00 pm Tuesday at Mt. Herman United Methodist Cemetery for a graveside service with Dr. J. David Hester officiating.
