William E. "Dub" Robinson, 74, of Ballinger passed away peacefully Saturday evening, January 21, 2012 at his home.

He was born on June 17, 1937 in Winters, Texas to Seth and Florence (Blount) Robinson. After graduation he worked in the oilfield in places like Africa and New Zealand before starting his construction business where he erected metal buildings all over the U.S. He married Jearretta Dupree on November 3, 1959 in Plaquemine, Louisiana and served with the US Army from 1960 to 1962.

The last of nine children, Dub was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Darrell; sisters, "Big Sister" Dorothy, Kate, and Mary; and brothers, J.P., Wallace, Shep, and Gordon.

He is survived by his wife, Jearretta of the home; son, Faustin Robinson and wife, Melinda, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; adopted son, Ricky Williams and wife, Angela, of Lafayette, Louisiana and grandchildren, Angie, Leigh, Rene, and Seth; and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers-and sisters-in law, John Moore of Ballinger, Gary and Lila McClure, and J. W. and Vickie Dupree, all of Baton Rouge; numerous nieces and nephews in Louisiana and Texas, including special nephews, Ronnie Pollard and wife, Rhonda, and Freddie Lee.

Dub was liked and loved by everybody, respected for his knowledge and work, and will be missed by many. The family extends special thanks to Ballinger Home Health and Hospice of Ballinger for their concern and excellent care during the latter days of "Dub's earthly life.

Visitation will be Monday, January 23 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 24 at 2:00 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church in Crews with Rev Ferris Akins and Rev. Gary McClure officiating. Burial will take place in the Crews Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be nephews, Ronnie Pollard, Freddie Lee, Douglas Robinson, Don Robinson, Edward Robinson, and Jamie Alexandrea.
