Mrs. Rowland, born in Bolivar, Jefferson County, was the daughter of the late Lewis Calvin Ballenger and Gertrude Reynolds Ballenger and the widow of Francis Jeremiah Rowland. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Faye Rodgers and a son, Jeffrey Rowland, a sister, Jessie Ballenger and three brothers, Oscar, Calvin and Paul Ballenger.
She is survived by one son-in-law, Ronald H. Rodgers of Charles Town, WV; two grandsons, L. Scott Rodgers and his wife Adrianne of Bolivar, WV; and Kris Rodgers and his wife Dawn of Harpers Ferry, WV; and one great grandson, Cameron Rodgers of Harpers Ferry. WV.
Graveside services were held at 11am, Monday, January 23, 2012 at Edge Hill Cemetery in Charles Town, WV. with Pastor Bucky Chapman officiating.
She was a soft spoken, loving and kind person.
