Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mullins United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with burial in Eastview Cemetery in Union City. Forest Hill Funeral Home East has charge. He was a graduate of the University of Memphis Business College. He leaves a daughter, Alice Godown -Beach of Memphis and a sister, Marion Godown -Bloom of Germantown. The family requests that memorials be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.
