Marvin Bert Pennington, 82, of Cape Girardeau, died Feb. 6, 1989 at St. Francis Medical Center there. Born in Tyler, he worked for Armorel Planting Co. for over 30 years. He moved to Cape after his retirement about 20 years ago. He was a Methodist.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma Lee Byrn Pennington of Cape Girardeau; Two daughters, Mrs. Betty Webster of Newport, Ark. and Mrs. Daisy McGee of Cape Girardeau; One brother, Harry Pennington of Phoenix; Two sisters, Mrs. Allie Mae Moxley of Caraway, Ark. and Mrs. Bernice Skinner of Champaign, Ill.; Five grandchildren and for great-grandchildren.
Services were Feb. 8 at 3 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home chapel in Blytheville, the Rev. Earl Cox and the Rev. Alonzo Rhodes officiating, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
