Martha Caig, age 78, passed away on March 10, 2010, under the care of Treasure Coast Hospice, in Fort Pierce, FL.
She was born in Raleigh, IN and lived in Port Saint Lucie, FL for 25 years, moving from Miami, FL. She was a dental assistant and was also a 50 year member of the Knights of Pythias, K of P Lodge in New Castle, IN. Martha was of Baptist faith and a member of North Stuart Baptist Church in Stuart, FL.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert Caig; sons: Thomas R. (Kathy) Caig of Charlotte, NC and David R. (Debbie) Caig of Perrysburg, OH; daughter, Cynthia D. (Kevin) McAdams of Sarasota, FL; six grandchildren: Chris, Cara, Chad, April, Joe and Jenny; six great grandchildren: Nicholas, Cayla, Jackson, Mazzie, Wyatt and Kaylee; sisters: Zada Hall, Mary Riggs and Roberta Sanders; and one brother, Dwane Cole.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Aycock Funeral Home in Stuart, FL.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Hinsey Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Denny Adams officiating. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Hinsey Brown Funeral Service where a memorial tribute will be conducted by the Pythian Sisters at 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in South Mound Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Martha Caig's honor to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian, Stuart, FL 34997.
