DeQuincy - Lynn Dale Patterson, 67, passed away January 20, 2012 in a local hospital.
He was a native of DeQuincy and a member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church. He worked as a conductor for Union Pacific Railroad and as a pipefitter for Local 106. He loved coon hunting and fishing. He was a cattleman and rancher. He graduated from DeQuincy High School where he was an athlete who excelled in football, baseball, track and basketball and also attended Northwestern State University.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Norma Thompson Patterson of DeQuincy; daughters, Wendy Patterson of DeQuincy; Rhonda Musgrove and husband Jeff of DeQuincy, brother, J.W. Patterson of DeQuincy; sister, Bettie Henagan of DeQuincy; and grandson, Kole Musgrove of DeQuincy. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Ovada Patterson and a sister, Bobbie Kelly.

HIs services will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Eastern Heights Baptist Church. Rev. Chris Jeffus and Rev. Jimmy Clark will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday, January 22, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Hixson Snider Funeral Home and resume Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 12 noon at the funeral home and from 1:00 p.m. until service at the church.
