Berry was born in Kermit Texas to Kenneth A. Hays and Dorris Curry Hays. Berry was a longtime resident of Aspermont, Texas. Berry worked in the Oil Field and married Tanya Weaver. February 28,1999 in Aspermont Berry was a graduate of Aspermont High school and a member of Elmwood West United Methodist Church in Abilene. Berry was a loving father, husband and friend.
Survivors include his wife Tanya Hays of Abilene; three daughters, Lexus Hays of Abilene, Madison Hays of Abilene, and Sadie Hays Glosson and husband Will of Jayton; three brothers, Terry Hays and wife Kathy of Aspermont, Steve Hays and wife Janice of Abilene, and Andy Hays of Abilene; two sisters, Verdonna Durham and husband Bobbie of Ft Worth, and Michelle Hays of Aspermont; cousin Ollie Fitzgerald and wife Kristi of Carlsbad, NM; mother & father-in-law Charles and Punkin Helms of Hamlin; cousin Bill Hallmark and wife Jeannie of Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Berry was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held 3:00pm until 6:00pm Sunday evening at McCoy Funeral Home in Aspermont.
