Florence H. Tollefson, age 95, formerly of 2306 S. 10th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning, July 6, 2004, at River?s Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2004 at Wesley Methodist Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Neil Piepenburg will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Florence was born Feb. 1, 1909 in Sturgeon Bay, daughter of the late Olef and Amanda Griese Tollefson. She attended the Manitowoc Public Schools and was a graduate of Lincoln High School. On Dec. 30, 1936, Florence was married to Alfred O. Tollefson in Buffalo, N.Y. Florence had worked for Wisconsin Bell Telephone Co. and retired from Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. of Albert Lea, Minn., in 1964. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, the Telephone Pioneers and AARP.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: James and Judy Tollefson of Tempe, Ariz.; Ronald and Lisle Tollefson of Spokane, Wash.; three grandchildren: Brian Tollefson of Chandler, Ariz.; Liese Tollefson of Spokane, Wash.; Maeshowe Tollefson of Mesa, Ariz.; three brothers and one sister-in-law: Earl and Tina Tollefson of Fruitland Park, Fla.; Roland W. Tollefson of Manitowoc; Delore Tollefson of Manitowoc; a special niece: Donna Gauthier of Two Rivers; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Karen Larson; her husband: Alfred O. Tollefson on June 15, 2002; three brothers and one sister.
Relatives and friends may call at Wesley United Methodist Church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
