Frederick Post - November 27, 1939
Marshall C. Morningstar died at his home at Dickerson, Saturday evening at 5 o'clock, aged 42 years, 7 months, 18 days. He was born in Lewisdale, Montgomery county, a son of the late Daniel and Ollie Morningstar.
He was a veteran of the World War, having enlisted in the Fourth Infantry in Frederick on August 6, 1918, and served in the Meuse-Argonne and Moselle offensives.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna M. Morningstar, and the following brothers and sisters, Harry Morningstar, Frederick Junction; Mrs. Elsie Norwood, Mrs. Mabel Grove, Frederick; Paul Morningstar, Adamstown; Mrs. George Harnell, Baltimore; Mrs. Carrie Ruitzin, Doubs.
Funeral from the late home this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment Monocacy cemetery, Beallsville. William B, Hilton, funeral director.
