Graveside services for Artie Wood, 83, of Nampa, who died Sunday, March 17, in a Nampa nursing home, were held at 2 p.m. today at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
The Rev. Joseph Housh of the Nampa First United Methodist Church was the officiant. Arrangements were under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa.
Mrs. Wood was born June 4, 1901, in Medicine Lodge, Kan., to James M. and Effie Blanche Watkins Wilt. She was reared and attended schools in Kansas and Oklahoma.
She married Everett Earl Field on Sept. 3, 1919, in Aline, Okla. and they made their home in Oklahoma for several years. She moved to California and on Jan. 15, 1944, she married Osceola Wood in Los Angeles. They moved to Nampa in 1961. Mr. Wood died June 29, 1975.
She is survived by a son, Darwin Field, of Nampa; three daughters, Letha Sumeriski of Las Vegas, Nev., Betty Rumsey of Paradise Valley, Ariz., and Joy Wetzler of Reedsport, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, one brother and one sister preceded her in death.
