April Kramer, age 34 of Northfield, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester following a two year battle with leukemia.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 am Thursday, January 19th at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Northfield with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8:00 pm Wednesday at the Bierman Funeral Home in Northfield and at the Church on Thursday 1 hour prior to Services.

April Christina Kramer was born April 14, 1977 in Waseca, MN, daughter of Ronald and Carol (Frantum) Nelson. She was baptized at the Medo Lutheran Church and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca. April was raised and attended school in Waseca, graduating from Waseca High School in 1995. She enjoyed playing tennis in school and was the stat keeper for the boys basketball team for a number of seasons.

April then went to Mankato State studying dental hygiene and community health. Following school she was a dental hygienist in New Ulm, Waseca, Mankato and Burnsville. Most recently she worked as a receptionist at a dental clinic in Faribault. On October 2, 2004 she was united in marriage to Jeremiah John Kramer at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca. They made their home in Northfield as April continued working, commuting first to Burnsville and later Faribault.

April was an avid gardener and took great pride in her colorful flower beds. She enjoyed baking, fishing in Minnesota, watching her husband play softball, trips to San Francisco and Duluth, her new hobby of stamping, and her two dogs. Following the birth of their daughter 2 ½ years ago, a favorite pastime was long walks with the dogs and Isabelle in a stroller.

April Kramer is survived by husband Jeremy; daughter Isabelle; parents Ron and Carol Nelson of Waseca; brother Trevor Nelson and partner Tara Bisping of Waseca; nephew Tristin Nelson; great grandmother Sade Ladd of Benson; grandmother JoAnn Frantum of Pemberton; mother-in-law Deborah Kramer and partner Jeff Bond of Randolph; father-in-law Gerald (Betty) Kramer of Rugby, ND; and brothers-in-law David (Renae) Kramer of Blaine and Michael Kramer of Devils Lake, ND.
