Surviving are his wife, Gail Sammet; children, George W (Michelle) Sammet of Pointe Verda, Marianne (Edward) Chalifoux of Winfield, Nancy Pfingstag (Ron) of Kannapolis, Celeste (Charles) of Maitland; step-children, Anthony L. Scott, Jr. of New Orleans, Howard E (Dana) Scott, III of Charlotte, Ian W Scott of Merritt Island; Heather (David) Durbin of Simpsonville and Catherine Scott of Atlanta; siblngs, Donald (Jane) Sammet of Lincoln and Anne (Bill) Christianson of Hudson; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased in death by a brother, Jacque Sammet and grandson, Tyler Scott. A funeral service will be held January 27, 2012 at the Salem Lutheran Church in Orlando, FL.
