Better known as John or John Bull was the son of the late Elizabeth Rawlins Queeley and Allan Queeley. He grew up in the village of Palmetto Point where he attended Palmetto Point Trinity School. At a young age John and his siblings would go to the mountains with their parents to plant provisions, cut sugar cane and help feed and raise the family animals.

At age 18 John moved to St. Thomas to better himself. He was a hard worker; he worked odds and end jobs to make ends meet. He worked at Squirrel Cage, Happy Mongoose, and WICO. In 1966 John gained employment with the V.I. Government with the Public Works department where he worked until his retirement in 2000.

In 1965 John met Bernadette Thomas. They produced 3 loving children, whom he loved dearly. John was very strict with his children; he wanted them to do the right things; nothing or no one came before his family. Anything John had, he would always save some for his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a man of few words, but he was a loving and caring father, grandfather and friend. John would give his last to anyone who would ask; he had a heart of gold. John enjoyed horse races, and race day did not pass without him, especially the carnival races. He also enjoyed watching TV; he loved a good western and country movie. He loved Archie Bunker and Sanford and Son; all you could hear was John's loud laughter while he watched his favorite TV shows.

John faithfully dropped off and picked up his grandchildren to and from school, especially his great grandson whom he adored. He enjoyed "hanging out" with his friends at the F&A food van in Red Hook and at the Purple shop in Bovoni. Occasionally John would catch the ferry to St. John with his friend for a lyme.

John was a very humble and quiet man but he knew how to party. He lived his life to the fullest. John will be missed by his family and friends who loved him dearly. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

He is survived by his wife, 2 sons, a daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
