ODESSA-- V.L. Whitehouse, "Whitey", a loving husband, daddy and grandpa, age 79, a longtime resident of Odessa went to rest with the Lord Monday, August 11, 2003, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born November 29, 1923, in Ink, Ark. He was a warehouse foreman and truck driver for Fidelity Oil Co./Starrgas for 20 years and retired in 1986. He married Julia Gallegos, his loving wife of 48 years, on December 27, 1954, in Stigler, Okla.
He was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Cordelia Whitehouse, and brother, Paul Whitehouse.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2003, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
