Roy F. "Mick" Henson, 58 passed away on September 30, 2011 in Huffman, Texas. Mick was born on October 26, 1952 in Neck City, Mo. He was a 1970 graduate of Webb City High School. He served 4 years in the U.S. Navy receiving several accommodations during his service. Mick worked for Shell Oil Co. until he reitred in 2004.
He married Terri Comstock in 1974 in Joplin. He is survived by two sons, Dustin and wife Uyen of Dallas, Tx., Clint and wife Lisa of Huffman, Tx., three grandchildren all of Texas; four brothers, Edward and wife Helen of Memphis, Tn., Mike and wife Jan of Purcell, Mo., Mark and wife Raquel of Oronogo, Mo., Doug and wife Susan of Joplin, Mo.; five sisters, Beverly and husband Jack of Grove, Ok., Karen and husband Jim of Joplin, Mo., Debra Simpson of Neck city, Mo., Kathy Kraemer of Burton, Tx., and Lori Dennis of Coffeyville, Ks., and several nieces and nephews.
Mick was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Bernice Henson of Neck City; and brother Victor Henson, along with two brother in laws, Bob Simpson and Barry Dennis.
A vistation will be held on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City with Pastor Larry Shumaker officiating. Interment will follow in Friends Cemetery in Purcell, Mo, with military rites. Arrangements are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.
