Brian Glenn Gilbert, 29, a Painter, died of Cancer, Sunday, July 1, 2007 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation is today 1:30-9:00 p.m. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Leesburg Baptist Church in Leesburg Community with burial in the Leesburg Baptist Cemetery. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton is handling the arrangements. Brian was a lifelong resident of the Leesburg community, and a member of the Leesburg Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He also was an avid sports fan. Brian's life was truly an inspiration to everyone who knew him, and he was deeply loved by his family and many friends. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include: his parents, Tim and Janice Gilbert; and brother, Shannon Gilbert of the Leesburg community; grandparents, Melvin and Joann Parker of Leesburg; and his grandmother Bobbie Sue Gilbert of Ludlow; as well as a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, McHenry Gilbert, Sr.
