Anna Maria was born in Bavaria about 1822 to George and Anna Maria (mnu) Metzer/Metzler/Melzer according to her WI Death record. She married Joseph Biersack there about 1840. They came with their first two daughters, Anna Maria and Walburga, to Washington County, WI about 1852 according to her Obituary. They settled in Barton and had 3 sons: Peter, Joseph, and John and 1 more daughter, Franzeca (Frances) there. She continued to farm after Joseph's death and lived in Barton until her death.
