Stella M. Rawlins of the Point/Shoreland Community passed away in Heatherdowns Care Center on Monday, June 28, 2010, at the age of 103. She was born to John and Pauline (Gerber) Heuring in Bellevue, OH, in 1907. Stella was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She delighted in crocheting sweaters for her grandchildren and sewing them outfits. Stella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd Rawlins, Sr. (1959); daughter, Marcella Hoskins; 2 grandchildren and brothers, Herman and Leonard Heuring. Left to cherish her memory are loving children, Paula (Bob) Pluciniak, Edith (Mel) Flayter, Lloyd (Linda) Rawlins, Jr.; 10 grand children; 12 great grand children and 5 great-great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Walters; as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be in the David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home beginning on Friday, July 2, 2010, from 2-8pm. A scripture service will be held that evening at 7pm. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Saturday, July 3, 2010, at 9:30 am with prayers before continuing to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10 am. Conducted by Rev. Keith Stripe. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
