Mr. Amos Perkins Booty, 79, died Wednesday, July 25, at his home, 15815 Darnestown - Germantown Road. He served in World War I as a [2nd] Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps, 1st Air Squadron stationed in Santa Domingo [Dominican Republic].
He is survived by his wife, Florence A. Booty, two daughters, Mrs. Irene D. Flohr, Sykesville, and Mrs. Jane Millar, Poolesville; one son, Amos P. Booty Jr.; College Park; two sisters; three brothers; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Hilton Funeral Home in Barnesville on Friday, July 27 from 7-9 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, July 28 at 11 a.m. Rev. Ronald Hiescer will officiate. Interment will be in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Poolesville.
