Family records give his birth date as 21 or 22 June 1871. James Edward WAY does NOT appear on the April 1871 Census with his parents Walter WAY and Rachel GOSMAN.

His Death Registration gives his birth date as June 22/67 however all other records - 1871 through 1916 Census indicate 1867 or 1868 would be incorrect for his birth year.
