Mr. Eugene Hurd Jr., 52, of Dickerson School Road, Dickerson, died Sunday, June 3, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Rockville. He was the husband of [Sue Ann White] Hurd.

Born in Virginia, be was a son of Hager Mills Hard of Dickerson and the late Eugene Hurd, Sr.

Mr. Hurd was employed for 28 years with IBM and served in the U.S. Navy.

Surviving besides his wife and mother are one daughter, Kristi Lynn Hurd of Dickerson; one son, Kevin Neil Hurd of Dickerson; and one sister, Anita Roberson of Dickerson.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy pay be made to the American Heart Association, 7300 Whittier Blvd., Bethesda, Md. 29817.
