Mrs. H.C. (Florence) McLaughlin, age 72, died at Childress, Texas Thursday, May 28, after a lengthy illness.

Services were held in the local Baptist church Sunday afternoon with the Rev. Leland Abercrombie of Altus, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Cecil Stubbs of the Louis church.

Mrs. McLaughlin was born September 26, 1880 in Bedford County, Tennessee. She moved here from Shelbyville, Tennessee in July 1913.

Survivors are five sons, W.D., Henry and James McLaughlin of Hollis; Bill of Borger, Texas and J.C. McLaughlin of Sulphur. Also 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A quartet composed of Mrs. Tom Ratliff, Orville Rippetoe, Roy Thomas and Charley Ratliff sang "Old Rugged Cross," "Does Jesus Care" and "I Won't Have to Cross Jordan Alone." Mrs. DeVon Sage was organist.

Burial at Fairmount was arranged by the Coley Mortuary.
