Dillard A. McKay, 73, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2011. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 12, at Grace Funeral Chapel. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday at Six Mile Assembly of God with Brother Johnny Kisiah officiating, Burial followed at Olivia Cemetery.

He was born on November 15, 1937, in Seadrift, to the late Willie and Ruby Bowen McKay. Dillard was a member of the 25-year Club at Alcoa, a former member of the Youth Rodeo Association and a member of Six Mile Assembly of God.

Dillard is survived by his wife, Barbara Dierlam McKay, of Olivia; daughter, Glynis King and husband, Kirk, of Olivia; sons, Mike McKay and wife, Yvonne, of Franklin and Dave McKay, of Olivia; sister, Janie Boswell and husband, Derek, of Iowa; brother Jerry McKay and wife, Kaye, of Rowlett; and grandchildren, Nikki McDermott and husband, Matthew, Kassi McKay, Bryan King, Kelsey King and Kyle McKay. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sally Ann McKay.

Pallbearers were David Rutherford, Lenny Clark, Corey Fojtik, Doug Wolfshohl, David Nyegaard, and Travis Warden. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Hines, Mason Gallow, Monte Callaway, Dr. Mau-Shong Lin, Hubert Bell, Harold Evans, Stanley Dierlam, and Todd Adams.

Memorial donations may be made in Dillard's memory to the Six Mile Assembly of God, the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
