Charles was married to Audra Alma Holmes May 18,1940 in Poplar Bluff,Butler Co., MO
They had 2 sons.
Douglas Clayton Bess Aug. 27th 1941born in Coldwater Mo and passed away Dec. 10, 2001 at St.Anthony's Hospital.
Roger Bess born 1944 in Coldwater Mo.
