William Elmer Johnson, 82, of Golden, died May 31, 1987 at Itawamba County Hospital. He was born September 29, 1904 in Itawamba County to John E. Johnson and Catherine McKee Johnson. He was a retired school teacher with the Itawamba County School System and a member and deacon of Fairview Baptist Church. Services were at Senter Funeral Home with burial in Itawamba Memorial Gardens.
Survivors included his wife, Flo Johnson of Golden; four sisters, Beatrice Stevens and Vera Johnson, both of Golden, and Oleta Senter and Hildred Howell, both of Fulton; four brothers, Alton Johnson of Golden, and Vester Johnson, Lester Johnson and Lemois Johnson, all of Fulton; several nieces and nephews.
