Mr. Searls a lifelong resident of Sempronius, died early Friday at his home. He had been in poor health for a long time. He was a stone mason by trade and regarded as a skilled workman.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harry A. Lillie, Moravia and Mrs. Edward Signor of Homer; four sons, Nelson, Sidney, Alton and Norman, all of Sempronius; one brother, Vincent Searls of Sempronius and 11 grandchildren.
