Services were held Monday morning for Ruth H FEHLAND HACKETT of Monee. Mrs HACKETT died 16 Dec 1999 at her home. She was born 18 May 1916 in Monee. She had been employed as a postal clerk at the Monee Post Office for 20 years. She was an active member of St Boniface Church and a member of the Monee Women's Club. Mrs HACKETT is survived by a daughter, Margaret THOMAS of Richton Park; two sons, Thomas (Nancy)HACKETT of Woodridge and James (Rochanne) HACKETT of Reno, NV; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Beatrice (Richard) SMULLEN of Monee and Lois (Jack) STEIN of Leesburg, FL; and two brothers, Allen (Geri) FEHLAND of Monee and Robert FEHLAND of Crete. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Parks HACKETT, in 1967; a son, John C HACKETT, in 1967; and three brothers, Ralph FEHLAND, 1998, Leonard FEHLAND in 1994, and Arthur FEHLAND in 1989. The funeral was held 20 Dec at St Boniface Church. The Rev Mark Menezes officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Steger. Memorials may be made to St Boniface Church, 5304 W Main St, Monee IL, 60449. Arrangements were handled by Hirsch Funeral Homes Lincolnway Chapel in Matteson.
