Frederick Forester was born to Lorenzo Dow McGray & Caroline M. Reed. Family lore says his mother died in child birth and his father was lost at sea in 1862 so he was raised by his grandfather William McGray Jr. (1803-1898) as a son.

McGRAY-Dec 12, Fred F., late of 1026 N. W. 20th ave., father of Mrs. Anna M. Woodhouse, Mrs. Mabel H. Brown and William H. McGray of Hankinson, N. D.; also survived by 8 grandchildren. Friends invited to attend funeral services Thursday 4 P. M. in the Drawing Room Chapel of Holman & Lutz, N. E. 14th and Sandy. Remains will be forwarded to Prescott, Wis., for interment.
