Ernest Julius Reinkens, 82, died March 30 afternoon in a Walla Walla hospital after a brief illness.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Apr 3 at Munselle's Chapel with the Reverend Richard Nieman, King Lutheran Church officiating, C.W. Wrinkle sang, "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder", "The Lord's Prayer". Mrs. John Maxwell was the organist. Cremation followed the service and finally interment will be in Montesano, Wash.

Born Apr 12 1879, in North Strand, Germany. Reinkens has been a Milton-Freewater resident since 1948. He was a farmer before retirement.

Surviving are his wife, Libbie Josephine, at the home: a daughter, Mrs. Charles McCune of Milton-Freewater, a brother, Tony of Montesano, Wash., three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Askew and Mrs. Dora Carter both of Montesano, Wash and Mrs Catharine Zierolf of Elma, Wash., four grand-children and 8 great grand-children.
