He was a member of the Local Carpenters Union in St. Louis where he worked for several companies including Penrod, Inc., Bates Construction, and McCarthy. He was not only a builder of complete homes, but detached garages, foundations, and sidewalks. The sky was the limit. If he had an idea, you could bet on a beautiful job. His talents also, included gardening.....flowers to vegetables. He loved his vehicles. From trucks to volkswagons.....with everyone he gave a special name ("Old Blue, the Gypsy" and tractor "Ferg"). His greatest passion was sharing his love for Jesus. He was an active volunteer with several nursing homes in the area.
