John Walters Dies At Good Pine Home On Last Wednesday
John Walters of Good Pine passed away on Wednesday January 30th at his home after an illness of seven days having been stricken with Bright's disease and in spite of all that could be done for him by his doctor and family was called to his reward at the age of seventy years eleven months and twenty one days.
Mr. Walters was born February 7th 1860 at Forest Miss and resided for a while at Summerall, Miss. He married Miss Susie Leonard on December 31 1879. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist church at Zion's Rest near Jonesboro, La. and attended services there for forty-eight years.
Funeral services were conducted at Dry Prong Thursday, January 31st, by Rev Brown, interment being in the Dry Prong cemetery.
Mr Walters is survived by four sons: J. D. Walters of Houston, Texas, J. B. Walters of Good Pine, W. W. Walters of Good Pine, W. C. Walters of Birch Alabama and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. The Times wishes to tender the family of the deceased the utmost sympathy.
