Dominic was a talented musician. He played and sang with the George Machart Band for many years. He also sang and performed with several other groups. Along with his wife, Lois, they owned and operated a bar in Hallettsville for many years, on the property where Wells Fargo Bank is now built.
Dominic is survived by: his children, Donnie Wayne and Wanda Lois Konvicka of Hallettsville; sister Lillie Konvicka Lanik of Sugar Land; brother-in-laws, Johnny Spaniel of Houston, and Stanley Bujnoch & wife Betty of Hallettsville; sister-in-laws, Linda Konvicka of Moravia/Schulenburg, Patricia Stroud of Houston, and Margaret and Leona Bujnoch of Hallettsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dominic was preceded in death by: his wife Lois; parents; sister Marie Konvicka Spaniel; and 2 brothers, Matthew and Emil Konvicka .
Funeral Service: 2 pm, Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at Kubena Funeral Home of Hallettsville. Visitation: Noon, Saturday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: Allan Lanik, Kenneth Lanik, Andrew Lanik, Matthew Lanik, Aaron Lanik, and James Steffek. Memorials: Donor's Choice. Burial: St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
