Rachel Whitaker-Moore was born to Peter S. Whitaker and Catherine Bay-Whitaker in 1823, Spencer, OH. She Married David Moore Jr in about 1840 in OH. To this union were born 12 children, Joseph, Peter, Margaret, William, Catherine, David 3rd, Nancy J., Charlotte, James W., Mary, Ulisses S.and Ellen. The info I have says she died in Aug 1880 at age 57 yrs just one month before her husband David 2nd, he was 61 years old. I'm wondering who raised Ulisses and Ellen as they were just children when their parents died. If anyone knows more I'd love to hear from you.
Note: Ulisses & his wife Helen Smith-Moore and their daughter Hazel Mae Moore-Overmire are also buried in the Fountain Cemetery.
