He was born March 21, 1913 in Lake Lenore, Saskatchewan, Canada to John P. and Elizabeth (Schmitz) Gaetz. Ben was united in marriage to Clara Phillips on October 20, 1938, in South St Paul. Ben enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, traveling and most of all, spending time with family and friends. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Local #87 Carpenters Union and was employed with McGough Construction. Ben is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Clara; his parents; 5 sisters; 3 brothers.
