She was born June 8, 1924, in Wakefield, the daughter of Homer and Marjorie (Drown) Wentworth. June graduated from Nute High School and had lived in Sanbornville and Milton for many years before moving to Farmington.
June was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, knitting and music. A former member of the Pythian Sisters and lifetime member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary of Union, she also volunteered at the Goodwin Library in Farmington.
She is survived by her children, Michael Barber of Washington, Tami LaRock, Charles Barber, Jr. and Melody LaRoche, all of Farmington; a sister, Gloria Sullivan of Herndon, Va. (formerly Farmington); 3 grandchildren, Amy Drapeau of Rochester, Lisa Ross of Columbus, Ga., and Terry Moody Jr. of Acton, Maine. Other family members include nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
June was predeceased by her husband, John T. Chambers, and 2 brothers, Carl Wentworth and Earl Wentworth.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central St., Farmington, NH. A Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the spring at the Lovell Lake Cemetery.
