Ralph A Babcock, 59, first village president of Delanson, and ex-councilor of the town of Duanesburg, died Saturday night at his home in Delanson, after a brief illness of heart trouble. The service, which will be private, will take place this afternoon, and burial will be In Grove cemetery, Delanson. Rev.
Arthur Schloop of the Methodist Church will conduct the service.
Mr. Babcock was head of the R. A. Babcock and Son Hay and Lumber Company of Delanson. He was born In Schoharie county and had lived 27 years in Delanson. Seven years ego he established the business into which he took his son, Harold, four years later. He was a member of Noah Lodge of Masons of Altamont.
Besides his wife he leaves three sons, Harold, of Delanson, Ernest, of Lakewood, Ohio, and Perry, of Savannah, Ga., and one grandson.

Private funeral from his late residence Tuesday afternoon, April 27 at 2:30 o'clock. Home will be open for convenience of friends Monday evening from 7 to 9.
Interment at Grove Cemetery.
