Gheula died at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester after an extended illness. Survivors include her children, Waneitta (Harold) Henderson and June Emerson both of Coggon, Tom Ayers of Manchester and Doroty (Bill) Woods of Cody, Wyoming; 8 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. Gheula was born June 30, 1906, the daughter of Hiram and Mary Coakley in McDonough Co., Ill. She graduated from high school in Washington, IA. On June 6, 1925, she was united in marriage to Harold Ayers in Mt. Pleasant. He died August 31, 1982. After living in the Washington area for their first years they moved to the Robinson area in 1934 and that's where she resided until a stroke sent her to the Good Neighbor Home in Oct. of 1992. In the 50's she drove a school bus for Coggon and then worked in food service a Camp Wapsi and The Hut in Ryan. Gheula loved to cook and you were always welcomed into her home. She also loved her crafts, quilting, playing cards, and helping others. She enjoyed 18 winters in Florida.
