Phenix City, AL- Mr. Marcus Jerome King affectionately known as "Black", 48, of 606-B Riverview Apts., Phenix City, AL passed Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Columbus Specialty Hospital.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. EST, Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Willie Lyles, officiating. Burial will follow in Abercrombie Cemetery, Phenix City, AL. Visitation is today from 1 - 8 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. King was born March 27, 1963 in Phenix City, AL to Katherine Preer and the late Henry Preer, Jr. He was employed at Broken Arrow Associates.
Mr. King is survived by his mother, Katherine Preer of Phenix City, AL; four sisters, Vickie Preer of Columbus, GA, Vera (Eric) Woods of Fort Mitchell, AL, Vanessa (Paris) Watkins and Katina (Kilpatrick) Preer both of Phenix City, AL and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
