She worked several years as a sales clerk for TG&Y Stores. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a charter member of the Rebecca Lodge of Watonga, American Legion Auxiliary, and a member of the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two grandsons, Ed Pierce and Ronald Pierce, three sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Calvin and Norma Pierce of Talihina, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Joe Pierce of Talihina, Oklahoma; and Beverly Curtis of Woodbridge, Virginia; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; one brother, Harold Wymore of Kingfisher, Oklahoma; two sisters, Lee Ellen DeHate of Tallahassee, Florida; and Annabell Meeks of Enid, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 20, at the 100F Cemetery at Watonga, Oklahoma, under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
