Mrs. Eunice A. Griffith, age 79, Rt. 3, Mendenhall, died Sunday, December 5, 1976, at Hillcrest Health Center in Magee following a lengthy illness. Services were held Monday, December 6, at 2:00 p.m. from Mt. Zion Baptist church with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Mims Mitchell Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements. The officating ministers were Rev. Don Carlisle and Rev. Dale Gipson. Mrs. Griffith was born in Simpson County, June 22, 1897. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Survivors are 2 sons, Mr. Guycell Griffith, Magee, Mr. Roy Griffith, Mendenhall; 1 daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Walker, Mendenhall; 2 brothers, Mr. Paul D. Armstrong, Crystal Springs, Mr. Oliver R. Armstrong, Hattiesburg, 3 sisters, Mrs. Mattie Keen, Harrisville, Mrs. Maxie Walker, Mendenhall, Mrs. Virgie Mae Bond, Bogalusa, La.; 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
