Retired in 1985 after 42 years of dedicated service with the Chicago Graphic Arts Local 458 including 26 years at Gerlach Barklow.
Member of Holy Name Society of St. Joseph Church, Senior Citizens Association and the Senior Bowling League.
Survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Dorothy (nee Planinc); seven children, Ed (Rita) Cabay, Pat (Tom) Marentic, Carol Cabay, Jerry (Joyce) Cabay, Larry Cabay, Rick (Regina) Cabay, Karen (Roy) Doden; 10 grandchildren, Joe, Paul, Katie, Lindsay, Emily, Christine and Lisa Cabay, Jayme and Jennifer Marentic and Dirk Doden; brothers, Al (Getta), Ben (Helen), Ray (Ellie). Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Theresa (Bakos) Cabay; one sister, Theresa (Louis) Kaducak; brothers, Frank Jr. (Mary), Joseph (Irene), Louis and two brothers in infancy.
