Actor. He played basketball in high school and won a scholarship to George Washington University in Washington D.C. After graduation he played basketball in Venezuela, but lost interest and moved to Los Angeles to become an actor. He started his career by appearing in a couple of monster films "Prophecy"(1979) and "Without Warning"(1980). He was often cast in monster roles due to his tall stature...he was 7´2". Hall made several guest appearances on tv-shows in the 1980s, such as: "Night Court", "The Dukes of Hazzard", "227" and "Star Trek: The Next Generation". He met actress Alaina Reed when he appeared as a guest on the show "227", and they were married in 1989. His big break came in 1987 when he starred in "Harry and the Hendersons" as Bigfoot and in "Predator" as an alien warrior. In 1988 he appeared in "Big Top Pee-Wee" and in 1990 he reprised his alien role in "Predator 2" and also played Bigfoot again in the TV series "Harry and the Hendersons". Hall was involved in a serious car accident in the fall of 1990, and his injuries required a blood transfusion. The blood he received was contaminated with the HIV virus. A couple of months later he died from complications of AIDS.
