"ALFRED, RALPH E. Sustained fatal injuries as the result of a fall from a dwelling house he was building, on Monday of this week. Remains taken to the Alfred home at Polk Creek and interment at the M. E. cemetery Wednesday. He was 47 years of age on the 25th of March. Married some years ago to Maude Bice, who survives, with a son and daughter. Also his mother. (?) He was a son of the late Charles J. Alfred and Mary Snyder Alfred, a brother of Perry G., Frank and Harry E. Alfred."
