Bobbie Dean Bailey, of Bowdon, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2009. She was 65. Mrs. Bailey was born on May 28, 1944 in Cleburne County, Alabama to the late Buddie and Bernice Wiggins Brown. She was a retired seamstress, from Lamar Manufacturing Company in Bowdon, and a Methodist by faith. Mrs. Bailey was a 1961 graduate of Ranburne High School. During her tenure, she served as class officer, and was a member of the library club, 4-H club, and Who's Who. She was a cheerleader for three years, and in 1961 was elected Homecoming Queen. She was also chosen as Senior Beauty in 1962.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her very special companion, and dog, Prissy. Survivors include her husband, Jackie Bailey of Bowdon; two sons and daughters-in-law of Bowdon; her loving and dependable sister of Wedowee, AL; her very special aunt of Ranburne, AL; seven grandchildren of Bowdon; and greatson of Bowdon.
Funeral services conducted on August 15 at the Chapel of Rainwater Funeral Home, Bowdon, GA with Rev. Darnell Teal officiating and Music provided by Denise Bailey. Interment in the Bowdon City Cemetery.
