Andres was survived by his children: Diane Maestas Duchene of Phoenix, Arizona; Mike of Placitas, Andrew (wife Darlene) of Española, Steven (wife Yvonne) of Albuquerque, Veronica Wing (husband James) of Rio Rancho, Samuel (wife Emily) of Alcalde, Mario (wife April) of El Duende; grandchildren: Danielle, Sarah, Alissa, Mario, Arianna, Sandra, Andrew, Samuel and Eddie Maestas; Adam Quintana, Amber Spellman, Savannah Wing, Candace Sandoval (husband Eugene); Erica, Michelle and Justin Padilla; great-grandchildren: Dylan Sandoval and Ashton Flores; sisters: Mary (husband Manuel Herrera), Natividad "Nettie" Vigil, Inez (husband Alfonso Gallegos) and Olivia Salazar; brothers: Antonio, Richard (wife Florence), Gaspar (wife Felicia), Armando (wife Annabelle), Margarito, and Reyes (wife Georgia).
Andres was a warm-hearted man who helped everyone in need. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends (especially his grandchildren), going fishing, being outdoors and he loved to mechanic. Andres was a truck driver by trade and spent much of his time on the road.
Public visitation and Rosary were on May 19, 2010 in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Cremation followed the Rosary. A Memorial Mass was on May 20, 2010 at the San Jose Catholic Church in Hernandez. Pallbearers were his children. Honorary pallbearers: Adam Quintana, Andrew Gallegos, Sal Ulibarri, and Imelda Trujillo.
