Death of Gideon Lumley

Word was received in the city this morning of the death of Gideon Lumley in Pueblo, Sunday. Tho remains will be brought to Aspen for burial. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock , Rev. Coulter officiating. Mr . Lumley was an early day miner in Aspen and was a brother-In-law of former County Treasurer John Sproul. He had been a resident of Eagle for a number of years at which place he has a fine ranch. He had not enjoyed good health the past two years, but he became very active in the development of the wonderful mineral strike in his district during which he suffered he nervous breakdown and he was sent to a sanitarium at Pueblo in the hope that his strength would be built up. His many friends in this vicinity will be grieved to learn of his death

FUNERAL OF GIDEON LUMLEY

Services over the remains of the late Gideon Lumley were held at the Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon. Rev. Coulter officiating. Interment was in Red Butte cemetery under direction of Undertaker DeMarais.
