Mrs Lawwill, 93, Great Grandaughter of Gov. Shelby, Dies
Mrs. Marjory Shelby Lawwill, 93, a resident of Evans Rest Home in Danville, died there at 7:30 o'clock last night after a long illness. Born Dec 24, 1872 at Arcadia in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of Issac and Mary Steele Shelby and a great-granddaughter of Gov. Issac Shelby of Kentucky, who resided at Traveler's Rest in Lincoln County. Mrs. Lawwill had returned to Danville to make her home in 1956. She was a member of the Episcopal Church. Survivors are a granddaughter Mrs. Joseph Saylor, Winchester, Mass.; two great-grandsons, Joseph Saylor III and John Valentine Saylor, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in Bellevue Cemetery. The Very Rev. Edgar C. Newlin, rector of Trinity Episcopal Church of Danville, will officiate. The body is at Stith Funeral Home.

Mrs. Malory Shelby Lawwill, died Monday night at a Danville rest home. She was the great granddaughter of Kentucky's first governor, Isaac Shelby. She was a native of Lincoln County but had made her home in Danville since 1956. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Bellevue Cemetery, Danville. The body is at Stith Funeral Home, Danville.
