Ira T. Wilson, Sr. "Paw-Paw" of Semmes, AL. was taken to his heavenly home on Saturday, January 14, 2012. He was born January 1st, 1942 in Vancleave, MS. and graduated Vancleave High in 1960.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Ella Wilson; brother, Millard Wilson Jr.; sisters, Doris Carter and Laura Mathieu.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Rosemary Olson Wilson; sons Ira Thomas Wilson Jr. (wife Barbara), Todd Wilson and T. J. Wilson, all of Semmes, AL.; Brothers Earl Wilson of Janice, MS., Ronnie Wilson of Beaumont, MS. and Roger Dale Fletcher of Vancleave, MS.; sisters, Opal Holliman of Latimer, MS., Betty Sue Griffen of Vancleave, MS., Ethel Thomas of Woolmarket, MS. Rosemary Resch, Patsy Garvey and Cammie Carroll all of Ocean Springs, MS.

He retired from CSX (L&N) Railroad in 2002 after 37 .5 years of dedicated service. After retirement, his time was spent gardening, cooking, and helping others. He enjoyed time spent with friends, family, and church family. Ira was a loving husband, father, brother and friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2012 from 5-8pm at Wilmer 1st Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 11am, at Wilmer 1st Baptist Church. Interment will be in Wilmer Cemetery.
